About Us

Who is behind Arcade Schoolhouse?

Arcade Schoolhouse is the passion project of husband and wife team, Patrick and Tiffany Mooney. As a Latin teacher, Patrick felt swamped with work creating assignments, preparing review games, and manually creating answer keys. After five years of teaching and a career change to web development, Patrick realized that a lot of the work could be handled with coding and the idea for Arcade Schoolhouse was born! Our goal is to eliminate the tedious prep-work of teaching, so teachers can focus on making an impact in students’ lives.

Patrick

Patrick got his bachelors degree in History and Classics (emphasis in Latin) from the University of Mississippi. He then got his Masters degree in History from the University of Tennessee where he studied Medieval Latin manuscripts and paleography. Patrick taught 6th-12th grade Latin for five years at a public charter school in Arizona, before getting a career in web development.
